The Hull Identification Selection (HIN) can be a 12- or 14-character serial quantity that uniquely identifies a boat. The HIN is analogous to the VIN on an automobile.

The first three digits would be the Producer’s Identification Code (ex. Boat model including Sea Ray, Meridian, etcetera.).
